Most people who book a reading at Amethyst House know they want a reading. What they haven’t decided (and often can’t decide) is which style of reading will be best suited to their current needs - cards or channeling, mediumship or past life?
Whether you are new to readings or this is your tenth time, it’s understandable if eight options feels a bit overwhelming, so let’s break it down. We offer eight different kinds of readings but the titles don’t tell you a lot, so here is a complete guide to readings at Amethyst House: what each one does, who tends to get the most from it, what it costs, and who gives the readings.

Tarot Reading - for when you want clarity on a particular topic
A tarot reading uses a deck full of beautiful imagery, insightful numbers, and titled text, to give shape to what’s happening in your life. Your reader creates a tarot spread (a pattern with the cards) and the meanings and positions of the cards will give the reader insight into your current situation, which he or she will then convey to you as a “reading”. Readers at Amethyst House will always check into intuition and spiritual guidance, in addition to interpreting what is in the cards in front of you.
One thing people don’t know about tarot is it’s the most conversational reading we offer. The cards give the session a structure (a beginning, content line and a direction) and that structure makes it far easier to talk about the elements of your life that you came to discuss. Clients who find it hard to open up about difficult subjects, often find the cards do that work for them.
If you want clarity on a season or a cycle of life, rather than a single yes-or-no answer, tarot is a great choice. On the other hand, if you are looking for a prediction, information about the future, or hoping for proof of a certain outcome, any respectable reader will tell you the same thing I’m going to - any information about the future represents one possible outcome based on your current frequency, choices, and life patterns. The future is fluid until it fixes with a specific decision that will not shift. Therefore, choices you make to shift your behavior may lead you to an entirely different outcome. As such, information about the future should be seen as a guide not as absolute truth. As long as you understand this about ‘predictive tarot’ then tarot remains a good choice. Please note, if on the other hand, you are looking at a tarot reading as an absolute truth, you may want to choose something other than a reading, such as wisdom coaching, where a practitioner checked into spirit gives you a more earth based, functional approach to problem solving.

Angel Card Readings - for when you want the message to focus on the positive and the spiritual
Angel readings work with messages from the angels, drawing on an understanding of angel numbers and the specialties of each angel.
Of all the readings here, this is the gentlest one in the room. That’s not a comment on depth, since angel readings go plenty deep. It’s a comment on perspective, guidance and tone of the messages. If you’re in the middle of something raw and you want guidance that lands softly, this is usually the one I recommend.
At Amethyst House Angel Card Readings are 30 minutes and cost $150. Angel Channeling is 50 minutes and costs $255, this longer, fuller version does not include cards but includes a direct channel stream to angels who are present for you in that moment.

Mediumship - for when a loved one has crossed over (you’ve lost someone)
A mediumship reading gives you messages from loved ones who have passed away. At Amethyst House, Jeannette works through direct spiritual connection - no cards, no tools.
This type of reading can really change the lives and well being of those who are grieving and it’s also the one where it matters most to know what to expect during the reading. A medium connects with messages that comes through from loved ones on the other side. She cannot promise who, and she cannot promise what message will be relayed. She may allow you to ask specific questions or she may simply relay messages that come through organically. Most clients describe the experience as validating and peaceful whether or not it goes the way they imagined prior to the reading. Jeannette is usually able to give some evidence to help you know your loved ones are actually present.
At Amethyst House we have one mediumship session called Soul-Connection Mediumship,. It is 50 minutes and costs $255.
At Amethyst House Medium Jeannette Sisario, who discovered her gifts after the loss of her own son, is our main medium. She delivers messages from loved ones with compassion and even humor at times.
Elizabeth Black also gives mediumship readings upon request as part of the Amethyst House Signature Reading. She describes her style as compassionate and enlightened.

A past life reading tells you about some of your past lives, and about the life-path lessons that may be shaping your current experiences. Some guests receive a healing alongside the reading.
This reading helps you shake the pattern you can’t shake, the relationship dynamic that keeps repeating with different people, the fear that doesn’t have an origin story in this life. You don’t have to believe in past lives for the reading to be useful. Plenty of clients treat what comes through as a story that illuminates something true inside of them. Also, most clients report a sense of knowing or a feeling that indicates that the reading resonates with them.
It’s also the most interesting reading we have to offer interms of interest and entertainment.
At Amethyst House a Private Past Life Reading is 45 minutes and costs $175. A Group Past Life Readings has four participants. You can join a group or book with friends. The Group Past Life Reading includes at least 20 minutes of reading focused on you within the group. The Group experience is 80 minutes and costs $75.
At Amethyst House Elizabeth Black is the recommended reader for this experience. She considers past life reading and healing a specialty and people seek her out for this service specifically. She also works with past and future lives through Quantum Reiki, as part of th Signature Healing Experience. Jeannette Sisario also does past life readings including Akashic Records work and will include past life reading as part of the Signature Reading when asked.
Astrology & Birth Chart Readings - Is it written in the starts? Birth Chart Readings are for when you want to understand yourself and your origins, as well as how the path may play out as you continue on your life journey.
An astrology reading starts with your natal chart, drawn from the day, time and location of your birth.
Astrology answers a different kind of question from the others on this list. It’s less “what’s happening” and more “what am I like, and why do I what I do”. Clients often describe it as the reading that explained something they’d noticed about themselves for years without having language to describe it.
Because the chart is drawn to order, send your birth details at least 48 hours ahead.
At Amethyst House Star Charts by Sophia & Reading is 30 minutes long and costs $150. Star Charts On the Go! includes the chart which you pick up but no additional reading for $125.
At Amethyst House Sophia Morando, who started studying astrology after noticing how precisely birth charts characterize personality and potential, takes the time to chart the exact moment you were born and reveal what that means for your life. She loves helping people understand themselves more completely and finds the process to be as enlightening as it is entertaining.
Channeled readings - for when you trust spirit to channel to your reader, information you need to know for your highest good. This reading is always helpful whether you come with questions or simply want to experience the spiritual realm at its best.
A channeled reading is the most flexible and undefined of those we offer. No deck, no chart. The reader and her guides take you on a journey that is sure to be completely different every time. Your reader channels spirit guides, light beings and other divine energies, and reports what comes through for your highest good.
This is the reading for people who arrive at a crossroads with no specific question, or who have had every other kind of reading and want to see what happens when the reader channels without structure. It’s also, for that reason, the least predictable. Clients who like that, find that after experiencing it once it’s the only reading they book in the future.
At Amethyst House the Signature Reading is 50 minutes and costs $255.
At Amethyst House Elizabeth Black is the main channel for the signature reading. She checks into quantum realms, spirit guides, source energy, angelic frequencies and more. Kat Low channels angels and light beings, in her Angel Channeling sessions. Jeannette Sisario, checks in as a medium but also a channel of spiritual source offering to her clients what comes through for their highest good.
Angel numerology - for those who love angel numbers and traditional numerology you can’t get any better that this one of a kind reading…
Worth a mention because it doesn’t fit any of the categories above. Angel numerology combines angel numbers with classic numerology into a chart that’s prepared for you in advance and is yours to keep after the reading. Debbie Paul is the only reader qualified to do Angel Numerology and she sometimes includes angel cards as part of the process as well. Debbie loves helping clients see their life path through the eyes of the angels who are there to support them on their journeys.
